Senior for Senior Foster Program

The PAWS ‘Seniors for Seniors’ program matches people 60 and over in the Creston area with older pets. These matches usually work out well because older pets are trained, calmer, and quieter than younger animals, so they better fit the lifestyle of an older person.

Older adults may not want the commitment of a pet but have the room in both their heart and their home for one. Senior pets can sometimes be harder to adopt because of their age or because they also have special needs, so this is also a win-win for the pet.

The program matches a senior pet with the applicant. PAWS covers the medical expenses and special needs items.

In turn, we ask that:
  • if the cat is an indoor cat, it always be kept indoors
  • you let PAWS know how the match is working out
  • you let PAWS know if the foster pet has any health problems or behavioural concerns
  • you let PAWS know if you can no longer care for the pet

This nice cat would love to find her furever home...we just know that her perfect family is out there! Call PAWS to arrange to meet this pretty girl!

Messa

This nice girl has a lovely plush coat that will require regular brushing to keep it so pretty. Messa enjoys a nice chat and gentle petting with her PAWS volunteers. She is quite interested in everything going on around her. Messa will be a lovely companion for any home!

Archery
MaleDOB: 4/29/2014. Archery is a sweet tabby boy. He's a bit shy, but warms up quickly. This nice boy loves to greet you for pets and gives great head bumps. Archery loves his people and enjoys a good chat. Archery gets along with other cats but is quite happy to be the only cat in his home. He will do very well in a quiet home, and he will need some time to get used to his new surroundings...this nice boy is totally worth it!

April
FemaleDOB: 4/27/2015. April is a pretty orange and white girl. She is a chatty kitty who loves being with people. This nice girl does not like other cats much...she is very happy to be the queen of her very own castle. A less busy home with just her very own people would be a perfect spot for this nice cat! Give PAWS a call to meet April.
